Search help

Separate terms with spaces. All terms must match. Use -tag to exclude a tag and * as a wildcard anywhere in a name.

Use OR groups like ( cat ~ dog ~ fox ) or {cat ~ dog ~ fox}. Groups cannot nest or contain metatags, and contain at most 10 items.

Searches allow 20 terms (sort does not count), 500 characters and 40 posts per page. A wildcard may match at most 100 tags. Unknown positive tags give no results; unknown excluded tags are ignored. Aliases resolve automatically.

Ranges and ordering

Numeric ranges accept 5, >5, >=5, <5, <=5, 5..10, 5.. and ..10. Prefix metatags with - to negate them.

Newest posts come first by default. Use sort:score:asc or order:score_asc to reverse a sort. random:123 keeps a random order stable across previous and next links.

Pages and blacklists

Pages 1–25 are numbered. Deeper searches and random ordering use previous and next links with cursors. Score and favorite cursors contain a value and post ID. Single-tag totals use active post counts; other totals may be cached for five minutes.

Each line of your blacklist is a small query, such as ai or rating:q. Matches are hidden on the normal page, and a show button reveals them. Explicitly searching a blacklisted tag overrides that line. Signed-out browsing has no blacklist.
